Ričardova Glava, or Richard’s Head, is a quaint pebbly beach situated right beneath the historic seaward walls of Budva’s Old Town. This picturesque cove is named after the actor Richard Widmark, who famously filmed the 1963 adventure The Long Ships in this stunning location. Measuring about 100 metres long, the beach boasts mostly fine pebbles and crystal-clear waters, making it an inviting spot for a refreshing dip.
Conveniently located beside the Old Town, you can reach the beach within a couple of minutes on foot from the Old Town gates. While there is no parking directly at the beach, its proximity to such a vibrant area allows easy access to shops and restaurants after a day in the sun. With its family-friendly atmosphere and scenic views of Sveti Nikola island, Ričardova Glava is a perfect choice for a leisurely day by the sea.
